Promotional Video

.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJXz3yGlFPU&feature=player_embedded

This is a link to our promotional video which is linked to our face book page so every one on facebook can see. For this promotional video i was the assistant editor. I believe this promo fits our target audience as i believe its fairly houmerous and entertaining. But i do believe that the song which is played as the protagonist is running is a bit dated and very cheesy and i believe that if a younger more recent song was played it could attract more viewers.

Children in need feature

Here are the top Children in need songs from the year 2004 to 20102004 Girls Aloud I'll Stand By You
2005 Liberty X A Night to Remember
2006 Emma Bunton Downtown
2007 Spice Girls Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)
2008 McFly Do Ya/Stay With Me
2009 Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band The Official BBC Children in Need Medley
2010 JLS Love You More

These were the top children in need songs from the last 6 years.
We are dedicating a section of our show to Children In Need, playing a feature to raise awareness of the charity also a guest who is raising money for Children in need will be being interviewed by one of us presenters.
Due to these songs being old and not up to date with our target audience we have decided not to play each of them but instead create a mash up of the songs which was made on the profesional softwear (Sound track pro). This will remind the audience of the songs associated with Children In Need.

in the past The 2008 BBC Children in Need Appeal was on Friday 14 November and raised an incredible £20,991,216 on the night, beating all previous records and taking the total since the telethon began to over half a billion pounds. The 2009 BBC Children in Need Appeal raised a record breaking £39 million. As we can see the money raised is on the up year by year and hopefully our radio show as a college will rais as much as it can to contribute to the 2010 final figure and hope we can have an input in making a bigger sum of money than previous years.

This playlist was created by Naomi Burrows prodominantly but as a group we all had an input, from choosing songs to choosing topicc etc. For this afternoon show i am the main presenter with Craig Smith as a co presenter.
Also from our audience research we have learnt that there is a large variety in what genre our target audience wanted to listen to so we have a wide selection of music playing within our show such as indie, club, dance and pop.

Cross Media

For a small part of our assignment, we have to include some sort of cross media which links to our radio show. For both shows, we have created a facebook fan page. This is to attract listeners who are our prodominant target audience, within this page we have links to promotional videos advertising our show and also a breif discription to what will be played on our show. Also photos and information about our presentes is on there. This page was created by myself as i believed it was a way to advertise our show and to raise awerness about children in need.

Ideas for Radio Show names

Radio names for our show

Filth fm
Fresh fm
Phresh fm
Sunny side up
Sun down fm
Toms mom fm
Radio fm

After our group had a brief discussion we came to the conclusion to use my first idea of Phresh fm i liked this name as its very fresh and original also as we wanted it to look different we spelt it 'Phresh'. I also believe that this name of the show is very much connected to our target audience as we are aiming at young 16 to 30 year old.
